Napoli outplays Spezia

Giacomo Raspadori’s 89th-minute goal allows S.S.C. Napoli to top the Serie A standings, after a 1-0 victory against Spezia at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona. Napoli remain unbeaten this season.

Before a trip to Scotland to play Rangers next Tuesday, Napoli manager Luciano Spalletti made five changes that earlier destroyed last season’s UEFA Champions League finalists Liverpool. On Saturday, Napoli continued their unbeaten 3-match streak.

Napoli began the second half as they did the first, with their dominance seeing Drągowski produce another stellar save to deny André-Frank Zambo Anguissa. Italian international Raspadori sent the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona into celebrations after shooting a ball past Drągowski.

Victory avenged two previous H2H home defeats for Napoli, while Spezia continue their winless series of matches: 3 defeats and 2 draws.
